I did it

It’s official I am a beer geek.

I took back a six pack of beer to south street liquor, Hazed and Infused. Either I am way past what I thought I remembered this beer to be, or it was very old and lacked the flavor and aroma that I was expecting.
My guess is that the beer was stored warm for a while. Enzymes present in the hops- from the dry hopping can degrade hop aroma. – bummer. – I ended up with Goose Island IPA- which is good, but I’d rather not buy bud products. – well. I paid .11$ for it.

CORRECTION:  DRYFLY put me as the first of many, links regarding a popular mis-conception.  AB doesn’t directly own G.Island.  But does own distributing rights, and widmer did buy a portion of GI, and AB owns some of Widmer, who owns some of GI.

If one was to get picky, one could argue that beer on the bud trucks are bud products to some extent.  But, Mr. Dryfly is right, – who cares.   the GI beer was far fresher than the micro from Colorado.
And luckily, with so many wonderful craft beers out there – I can set up how many ever rediculous rules (some based mostly in ignorance) and still walk out happy as a clam.
