An attempt at the “pivo” at CraneRiver, Lincoln, Ne.

Brewed in early may 05
OG ~ 1.042 FG:????

10 lbs –Pils base malt
. 5 lb –Cara-pils

Mashed at 148f for 60minutes. Recirculate, drain.

Sparged with 168F water collected 6 gallons- 6.5 would be better

Boiled for 75 minutes- 90 would be better for a clearer beer

after 15 minutes, add,
1.5 oz Saaz 60 min boil time and,
1.5 Saaz through out the last 30 min
and wlp 007-Dry London Ale

primary for a week at 65-maybe 68
secondary for a week or two…

Notes:  This beer was decent.  I would brew it again with an extra pound of malt, or two.  This was the first beer I ever Kegged and force carbonated.  Hop aroma reminded me of the good german/czech beers… but it wasn’t as crisp and dry.
